Perfect Porridge

This makes perfect porridge every time, I like to use jumbo rolled oats. Porridge is so adaptable, it can be topped with almost any fruits, nuts, seeds, chocolate, nut butter, jam, baked fruits, poached fruits, plain, savoury, you name it. It’s hard to get bored of. This is my basic recipe, feel free to add to as you wish.

Ingredients

1 cup jumbo Oats

2 cups plant based milk

Optional

1 tsp Vanilla extract

1 tsp Cinnamon

1tsp Maple syrup

Instructions

  1. Place the oats and milk in a saucepan and heat on medium until the oats have softened, but not mushy. I like a little bite.
  2. Add in any flavourings you like and serve with toppings of your choice.
